This is a super-duper exciting week!
The last six months have been incredibly challenging! Three arm surgeries, being in a cast/splint/brace, and told repeatedly to do NOTHING (by my surgeon) I am about to be on the move again!!
The arm is doing pretty well. I have to be really careful with it and am not allowed to lift anything but I am able to use it and begin some light stretching. As you can imagine – after the surgeries and being locked in a cast for so long, its range of motion is mighty poor.
With all that in mind, I will be on the move again this coming Sunday! I am headed to some wonderful mountain forest boondocking sites in northern New Mexico!
I am working my way slowly to Colorado Springs for the homecoming of my middle son! He is in the Army and has been deployed to Afghanistan for the better part of the last year. Having him back home will be a huge relief – I am infinitely thankful to God for keeping him safe while in the combat zone!!
I am also very thankful for my very dear friends that have been taking care of me for the last six months. I am not an easy person to tolerate – even while living in an RV in your back yard. Perhaps all the pain killers made me a bit easier to bear – or maybe not….
