So Happy I Could Eat Sardines

September 2, 2015

Yay Me Congratulations SuccessI am sooo happy!!

I just finished a 4 mile mountain bike ride.

Four Miles???  You say??

Yes, four miles.  I know, not exactly impressive.  However; I have had a less than productive summer – ha, YEAR!!  when it comes to cycling.

It all started with this @#&*^@#$# broken arm last October.

Just about the time I was getting back on the bike, I injured the shoulder that was connected to my healing broken arm.

Yeah, dumb!

I did it kayaking – in a rather exciting little accident.

The shoulder was just starting to feel good … and ….  Wait for it ….

Blammo!  I sit down in a river while fishing – it really was a sit down – I don’t even want to call it a fall.  I simply stumbled and sat down in the water.  I was fine for about three hours standing in the water fishing… and then I tried to climb the bank out of the water.  Wowsers… did my tailbone ever hurt.  I must have sat just right on a rock and bruised my tailbone.

That tailbone bruise has been a pain in my backside, literally, for the last two months.

So, today, when I am able to sit on the saddle on my bike again – if only for four miles – I am happy!
