Kitchen Paint

Back in this post, I talked about making my home “mine” and paint colors in this post.  This past weekend I made some progress by painting.  Not a lot – but at least some.  I painted the kitchen.  It looks FABULOUS, if I must say so myself!

I used satin Valspar latex paint in the “La Fonda Terra Cotta” color from Lowes. It is a very thick paint but I liked working with it. I did it all in a single coat but it is a little thin in a couple of spots – my fault. A touch up will fix it.

You can see from the photo that I have a wood plank ceiling and large exposed pole “beams”.  These two items really complicated the painting as these basically required free hand work. Taping them off was just not possible.
