My RV-4 friend and I had a wonderful flight recently that resulted in the video below. There are some spectacular RV-4 views in the footage.
I sure wish video could capture the beauty, ruggedness, and glory of the terrain over which we flew. However; it cannot so I attempt to etch these memories in my mind. I know they will not last there forever and I will have to rely on the video. That is ok – far better than loosing them forever.
I am trying to improve my productions. I know they are sorely lacking but hopefully are getting a little better each time. One of the challenges is that I love reviewing the entire flight – every segment is a memory and I love replaying it in my mind. However; I know that is true only for me. So, I am trying to cut them down to the short segments that people seem to enjoy.
This footage was captured during the return from our breakfast flight to Grants, NM. The terrain covered is south of Interstate 40. The RV-4 is an amateur build aircraft from plans/kit – this one is an early serial number with some 2000 hours of flight time.
I do hope you enjoy!
