I was at a study a few weeks ago where one person was really hung up on understanding every Biblical concept. I really enjoy historical context and word studies but fully admit that there are many things that we, as humans, simply cannot understand – well, me at least…
Reading Mark 10:15 recently, I finally understood what Jesus was saying. Children trust and believe without question. They are wide-eyed and full of wonder. If you haven’t spent time with kids, you probably haven’t seen this but it is a really cool thing. They are in awe of most everything and trust without question. That is how we are to be. No, not to the point of being dumb about it. Obviously, we have to research and understand but there are some concepts that are beyond human understanding and, on these things, we must have faith without understanding.
