Quality Time

Yesterday I spent the day visiting with one of my sisters, her husband, and their son. My family means everything to me and time such as this is incredibly valuable to me. My brother-in-law underwent open heart surgery a few weeks ago so is still recovering.  It was very relieving to visit with him and see his progress for myself.  Open heart surgery is an every day event for many but it is still a big deal to me and I was very worried about him – particularly with the other very negative events going on this week.  I am pretty old school and yearn for the days when families stayed close. My family has been spread across the country for many years so even a few hours with one of them is treasured time.
