Black Fire

May 19, 2022

The Black Fire is raging in the Aldo Leopold Wilderness Area. That is near the Gila Wilderness Area and not too awful far from my location.

Before sunrise a couple days ago, we had some cloud cover and the sky was glowing because of the fire. I took a couple photos. My camera decided to turn this one into a daytime photo and I thought the result was kinda interesting.

Apparently this fire has consumed something like 80,000 acres and 250 people are working to extinguish it.

It’s not close in terms of danger/concern but close enough that we have been blanketed in smoke. Horrible stuff! The only positive is that one should not physically exert themselves and breath that stuff – so… I remain sedentary. πŸ™‚
