Away

February 8, 2012

I had a couple days off the boat – felt kinda strange. I made the three hour drive to Tampa, FL (Trinity, actually) to visit a niece and her family.  I’ve only been living aboard for a couple weeks but the feeling is still noticeable.

I had a wonderful time and enjoyed all the SPACE.  I think the bathroom that I had to myself was larger than my whole boat!!! 🙂  The marina bathroom is nearly a half mile round trip (from the boat) for the serious jobs – this one was MUCH closer.

My niece and her husband have two young children – boy and a girl.  Not sure what that makes them to me – perhaps great niece and nephew or something – I dunno.  In any case, they were a blast and are great kids!  It’s been awhile since I spent any time with young kids so had almost forgotten what they were like – SO MUCH ENERGY.  You looking for a great business opportunity? Figure out how to tap into that energy supply – the country would never be in need again! 🙂

My niece made a wonderful batch of spaghetti for dinner but, as you can see, the garlic bread didn’t fare so well… 🙂

Searching is half the fun: life is much more manageable when thought of as a scavenger hunt as opposed to a surprise party.
