I have this neat 12 volt electric fan on the boat. Last time I plugged it in, the inline fuse blew. I made a trip to the auto parts store to pickup a new fuse today, installed it, plugged the fan in, and ….. nothing. I took a look at the fuse and, yup – blown again. I HATE IT when that happens! Of course, I am mister efficient so I only purchased ONE fuse. Ugh…. back to the store. This time I purchased a whole assortment of fuses to guarantee I would not blow another. Back to the boat, install a larger fuse and ….. nothing. Well, thank goodness for consistency! 🙂
Along with consistent, I’m also mister fix it. The easiest thing to try was the inline fuse holder so apart it came. Interestingly, there was a single strand of wire from the positive wire running to and touching the negative. It almost looked like it was made that way. Hmm…..
Back together, yet another fuse and ….. Ta-Da! A working fan!
