102 Feet

August 15, 2012

It’s not really that impressive… I know… Nonetheless, I have to find success and pride in anything and everything these days so this get’s elevated much higher than it ought to!

The following GPS track is of my cycling the other day.  It was an 18 mile ride which is in the “long” class for me. It’s basically a north and back with a little loop at the end to get the mileage up a bit.

Cycling Bike Ride GPS Track

Notice the massive amount of elevation gain (climbing)??  A total of 102 feet!!

Compare this with Fatty’s recent post over on FatCyclist.com – he climbed 11,318′ during a 95 mile ride!!!!  Man – that is CRAZY!  That said, I hope I am able to even attempt such a thing some day.

You ever wonder how long it takes all the little rubber “hairs” on new bicycle tires to wear off?
