I really think the vessel bathroom sinks are kewl! I had to have one.
Which one though?? There are so many designs!
After much looking, I found this one – a Turkish Travertine! It is very close in color to the cork floor.
After finishing the kitchen countertop, the slab of unfinished plywood in the bathroom was looking very UN-couth. The arrival of the sink made it obvious, something had to be done.
It usually amazes me how quickly… and easily… small tasks go – once you get started on them. I like to “plan” as long as possible…
Ok… ok… it’s just laziness – I am a slower starter… 🙁
I started on the sink countertop first thing Saturday morning and had it installed in the bathroom by 1:00 pm. That includes drying time of the stain and polyurethane, and mounting the sink and drain. Not exactly a hard or time consuming project. 🙂
Speaking of which… I really wasn’t expecting for the sink and drain to arrive until Monday but FedEx surprised me. Thank you FedEx!!
As with the countertop edges, my new handy-dandy router was super helpful! I cannot believe it took me nearly fifty years to “afford” one. It is amazing! In this case, it was just a V cut around the drain hole so the V shaped silicone sealing ring would fit properly but still… it is SO FUN to use!! 🙂
Is that SHARP or what?!?!?
Faucets are one of many things that fascinate me about modern home construction. Who would have EVER thought we would spend $500 on a FAUCET!!! Crazy right!?!? Since I have such a hard time with that idea, I was very happy to find this faucet from “LightInTheBox” for $53.00. Yay! I know… it’ll probably fall apart in the first month. Fingers crossed that it doesn’t.
They were nice enough to package the faucet in a very nice velvety ditty-bag!
I am very happy with the look of the bathroom countertop, vessel sink, and faucet! Please note!! The blue wall will not be blue forever! 🙂 It is only insulation – eventually some sort of wall will exist there – and a mirror.
Now I need to get busy on the plumbing hot/cold water and the drain.

Nice! Why don’t you come ‘home’ so we can see all this in person!! 😉
