Many of you know what a slippery slope the health care industry can be. I suspect all of us with some miles under our tires have experienced it. Once they have you in their grasp it seems that more and more things go wrong. A simple issue leads to a life threatening issue…
This week, Missy has been dealing with it.
The plan was some fairly simple outpatient work. King pins, drag link ends, bushings, etc… Her steering was sloppy and I wanted to get it tuned up.
We arrived at the clinic bright and early Monday morning and care providers went right to work.
Sadly, complications arose and the simple work turned into a major operation. Day one dragged into day two… Day two dragged into day three…
A three day surgery is frightening. She is doing well but major surgery like this always has lasting effects. I am worried about her but I know she is in good hands – I just need to be patient and have faith.
While Missy is hanging on and fighting for her life, I am waiting in a hotel room. Visitors are not allowed over night so she is all alone.
I know she will make it thru but I still worry…
Missy on a better day…
UPDATE: Missy is now home and resting comfortably. The entire procedure was a success and she performed really well on the way home – about 30 miles. Three full days under the knife had to takes its toll.
