Missy Dash & Panel Cleanup Results

March 21, 2018

I first mentioned working on Missy’s dash panels and wiring here.

That work is now complete.

From a functional perspective, it was a major success.

From an appearance perspective, it was a failure.

The right side switch panel is much better with the replacement panel and headlight switch.

The left hand console/panel still looks terrible.ย  Finding a replacement sure would be nice.

Having a couple USB charging sockets here will be really nice for those long drives.

On the bright side, having all those extra wires out makes feel all warm and fuzzy. ๐Ÿ™‚

The appearance of the entire dash area is very “industrial” so certainly needs some work. When I feel like trying again, I think I’ll go with a nice oyster colored vinyl over most of the panels (with a very thin layer of foam underneath (1/8″)).

Unless someone has a better idea…

As usual, just amazing! Looks fantastic. Still waiting on elevator for access.

Thanks Cathy. I’m thinking about getting a little front end loader (skid steer) and just loading people that have issues with steps thru the window. A lot like how I got the washer/dryer in. The negative is that the trip out is… well… not as smooth as an elevator going down.
