Yay Me!!
I took the FCC Amateur Radio Operator – Technican test today and passed it with 97%!
I spent quite a lot of time studying for my Ham license over the last few months and I guess it paid off. I used mostly online resources rather than books so I can attest to the fact that all the information is easily available. I grabbed a copy of the test question pool and study them the most. HamTestOnline.com was a very affordable and valuable resource.
I wanted this license so I could use a marine SSB radio on my sailboat while sailing off-shore. In addition to voice communication, this also gets me SailMail and several weather sources (such as Weather Fax). Of course, I don’t have any of the equipment nor money to purchase it so I figured the HAM license was a good place to start.
