A nice two-door, mirrored medicine cabinet showed up at my door a couple months ago. I didn’t do anything with it as I was so busy on other things.
Well… not entirely true. I did have time to crack the mirror on one of the doors. Other than that, I didn’t do anything.
As with many other items in Missy, mounting the cabinet started with constructing a solid structure to hold it. That seems to take much more time and engineering than imagined. Mostly because the Missy’s chassis walls are not straight – they curve. And, of course, disassembling things that I had already installed since I am doing things so out of order.
Once the structure was up, mounting the cabinet was simple.
I decided to try a backsplash made from the same tile as the wall on the other side of the bathroom.
Taking photos of it has proven very difficult – I need a wide angle lens. Regardless, here is the best I can do.
Oh.. the cracked mirror makes it look bit odd in the photo. In reality, the crack is FULL of character – really looks great!
The wall to the left (not pictured, on purpose) is not yet finished (because I need to run a number of electrical items there (wires, switches, sockets, heated floor control, etc.). Ignoring that – it looks pretty good! It is really nice to have a place to put bathrooms things as well!!
No… still no ceiling…
Oh… also… I’m current sitting in the Lahontan State Recreation Area near Silver Springs, NV – fairly close to Carson City, NV. It’s getting cool at night but we are surviving.

I love character!!! Even more if it makes me look slim!
